Sunderland Slimming World groups returning to face-to-face classes after virtual sessions helped 660 people during lockdown
Slimming World suspended all meetings in March instead offering virtual sessions online, which supported around 660 members in the area, encouraging them to continue a fit and healthy lifestyle during the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, Slimming World is ready to welcome back its members to physical classes in Sunderland and Washington, with a number of new social distancing rules in place to adhere to government guidelines.

Katherine Mason, the Washington Team Developer at Slimming World, said: “We’ve found our virtual groups are giving members a chance to focus on their goals, to regain control, and to feel a sense of togetherness with the rest of our group.
“However now we’re looking forward to welcoming so many members back into venues, where everyone will get all the encouragement, love and support that being in group provides. We are all stronger together.”
Slimming World will be introducing a booking system to limit the number of people attending the classes to ensure they are COVID secure.
