Sarah Nossiter, 38, from Hartlepool, is a science teacher and Head of Year at Oxclose Community Academy, in Washington and started making the kits for pupils during lockdown so they could keep up with their science while off school.
Since then, Sarah has been reaching over 1300 people with her ‘Science with Noss’ Facebook page and has raised £600 for the John Drummond Trust, which was set up when young Oxclose teacher John Drummond passed away after a short battle with cancer.

She said: “I created my page Science with Noss where I posted daily challenges that can be done at home with household equipment. I have amassed over 1300 members who have used my page to help with science teaching.
The parents who have purchased my kits have been very complimentary and have continued to post pictures of their children taking part in the challenges and I’ve loved seeing their faces.”
Some of the most popular experiments in the kits include DIY Lava Lamp, teabag rocket and sparkle candle.
