Hartlepool United, Bishop Auckland and Dunston UTS all feature this week in our picture gallery.
Scroll through the pictures below to see who else features in our new weekly feature for the Sunderland Echo as part of our revamped non-league coverage this season.
Each week Mark will cast his eyes over the big winners and losers from that week.
1. Winners: Marske United and Dunston UTS
The North East’s NPL North West Division duo are going from strength-to-strength as they look to challenge at the top end of the table. Marske’s 5-1 demolition of Trafford means that they are yet to drop points this season and two dramatic wins in three days for Dunston has taken to the top of the table. Photo: Stu Norton
2. Winners: Scott Oliver
The former Hebburn Town manager has returned to the dugout after he was named as joint-manager at the Hornets’ South Tyneside neighbours Jarrow on Friday. Oliver was in the dugout alongside Dave Bell as their side reached the FA Vase first round for only the second time in their history at the weekend. Photo: Tim Richardson
3. Winners: Hartlepool United
It has been a near-perfect start to the new season for Dave Challinor’s men and they moved to the top of the National League table with a dominant display as they romped to 4-0 win at Maidenhead United on Saturday. Photo: FRANK REID 2020
4. Winners: FC Hartlepool
There is no doubt that things are going to plan on the pitch at FC Hartlepool at the moment – but the Wearside League club saw their off-field ambitions given a major boost on Monday when they were named as the “preferred operator” of their Grayfields home. Photo: Catherine Ivill
